OUR STORY
Founded in 1995, Dutton Electric Inc. is a second-generation, family-owned electrical contractor serving residential, commercial, and industrial clients across Northeast Ohio. What began as a small institutional-focused shop has grown into a trusted regional provider known for our reliability, craftsmanship, and union-trained workforce.
We are proud to be a fully licensed, union contractor employing IBEW-certified electricians and NJATC-trained professionals who bring both technical precision and field-tested experience to every project. Whether we’re wiring a hospital wing, servicing a factory at 2 a.m., or retrofitting lighting in your business, we approach each job with the same commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

LEADERSHIP SPOTLIGHT
NATE NORRIS
With over 24 years of experience in institutional, heavy commercial, and industrial electrical work, Nate Norris is one of Dutton Electric’s principal leaders. Nate began his journey with the company in 1997 as a delivery driver and apprentice. In 2002, he was accepted into the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) program, completing his training and returning to Dutton Electric in 2007 as a licensed foreman and project manager.
Since then, Nate has been instrumental in shaping the company's growth and operations. Under his leadership, Dutton Electric has expanded from a small team of 7 to a robust workforce of 17 skilled electricians. Nate also holds Ohio electrical and fire alarm licenses and continues to lead by example—prioritizing client relationships, job site safety, and long-term success for both employees and customers.

RENNICK DUTTON
Rennick Dutton is a second-generation electrician and a key leader at Dutton Electric Inc., continuing a proud family legacy built on over 200 years of combined experience in the electrical trade.
With more than 12 years of hands-on experience, Rennick has developed strong expertise in lighting controls, residential service work, and managing commercial projects of all sizes. He has successfully led teams as both a foreman and project manager, earning a reputation for efficiency, reliability, and attention to detail.
Today, Rennick plays a vital role in guiding Dutton Electric’s operations and growth. His practical knowledge, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality have made him a respected figure in the industry and a driving force behind the company’s continued success.
